Effective 29 September 2026. Kosoara collects account identity, profile details, CVs, applications, saved jobs, private employer verification details, moderation decisions, reports and contact enquiries to operate the recruitment service in Ghana. You can sign in with ChatGPT; email-code sign-in will be available when email delivery is configured. We use the information to show relevant jobs, support applications, respond to enquiries, notify users in their dashboard and moderate the platform. Short-lived submission limits use account identifiers and, for anonymous enquiries, a rotating hash of network information to reduce abuse.
When email sign-in and delivery are enabled, we send one-time codes and important application or review updates through an email provider. We store a hash of each short-lived code, attempts and a secure session cookie; the code itself is not stored in our account database. We share the email address and message content needed to deliver these messages with that provider.
Public job and company pages do not show candidate contact details. An employer receives an applicant’s name, profile details, application note and CV only after that candidate applies to its role. Platform administrators may access records needed for moderation and support. Contact enquiries and employer verification details are visible only to administrators.
Nearby job search asks for browser location permission only when you choose “Use my current location”. Coordinates are rounded to two decimal places before transmission and kept in a session cookie for job searching, separate from your candidate profile. They are not sent to employers or a third-party geocoding service. You can clear the location in the search controls. Search distances use approximate town or area centres, not travel routes.
If you use AI career tools, the text you choose to paste is sent to OpenAI to generate a response. Your saved CV is not sent automatically. Kosoara limits requests per account and does not save the pasted text or answer to your profile. Avoid including contact details or sensitive information you do not want processed by the provider.
We keep records while accounts and listings are active and for a reasonable period for support and safety. To request access, correction or deletion, use the form on the Contact page. Uploaded CVs are stored separately from public listings. Access to data is limited by account role.
